Jingbo Group's skid-mounted PSA high-purity hydrogen production unit was successfully started up at one time
As the hydrogen energy market matures, the status of hydrogen fuel cells is rapidly improving, becoming a light clean energy that can replace lithium-ion batteries in the future. However, hydrogen cost control is a key issue that needs to be urgently solved on the road to commercialization and popularization of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
So far, the main sources of hydrogen in my country are water electrolysis, fossil energy hydrogen and industrial by-product hydrogen. Among them, industrial by-product hydrogen, as a by-product of the oil refining, chemical and other industries, has become the main source of hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cells with its low cost and abundant reserves.
Recently, our company learned from Shandong Jingbo Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Jingbo Petrochemical), a subsidiary of Jingbo Group, that our company upgraded its PSA hydrogen production unit and replaced the traditional PSA unit with a skid-mounted PSA hydrogen production unit with imported core equipment (saving about 80% of the floor space compared to before). After a successful one-time start-up in March 2019, the unit operated smoothly after the start-up, and the unit consumption was greatly reduced compared to before. The cost of hydrogen for fuel cell vehicles has been reduced from a technical level.
The project is located in Binzhou City, Shandong Province, with a scale of 8000Nm³/h. The gas source is mainly dry gas reforming hydrogen production. The skid-mounted PSA covers an area of 3.5m*6m*4m, and the purity of produced hydrogen is 99.999%, and other impurities are ≤1ppm. The skid-mounted PSA occupies only about 20% of the traditional PSA, fully demonstrating the advantages of "small footprint and low energy consumption".
In view of this, the device, based on the advantages of skid-mounted, compact, flexible control, fully automatic single variable automatic control, simple system, extremely low operating energy consumption, and extremely high reliability, will play an indispensable role in accelerating the start-up of the hydrogen energy industry.
