First Hydrogen Refueling Successful！Huafei Engineering's Hydrogen Refueling Station Project Completes Commissioning
On August 22, 2025, the hydrogen refueling commissioning of the hydrogen refueling station project in the Baiyunebo Iron Ore Area, EPC-contracted by our company Hebei Huafei Engineering Design Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huafei Engineering"), was successfully completed, marking the first successful hydrogen refueling of a fuel cell vehicle.

This project is the first gaseous hydrogen refueling demonstration station in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. It is invested by Baotou Hydrogen Green Energy Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Shanghai Shenergy Group and Baotou Iron & Steel Group, with Hebei Huafei Engineering Design Co., Ltd. (Huafei Engineering) serving as the EPC contractor. The Baiyunebo Iron Ore Hydrogen Refueling Station is located in the Baiyunebo Iron Ore Area of Baotou City. As a Class III hydrogen refueling station, it currently has a hydrogen refueling capacity of 500 kg/day (with a designed capacity of 1,000 kg/day). The facility includes a hydrogen refueling integrated machine, one 6 m³ hydrogen storage bottle bank, and auxiliary equipment such as a chilled water unit, along with two long-tube trailer parking spaces and a modular station building. It meets the hydrogen fuel demands of heavy-duty trucks, forklifts, and employee shuttle buses transporting iron ore in the mining area.

This project was undertaken by Huafei Engineering as the EPC contractor. Our in-house design team applied cutting-edge design concepts to deliver a comprehensive station layout. Throughout the construction phase, our entire team demonstrated exceptional cohesion and efficiency, overcoming extreme local winter conditions and the unique challenges of constructing within a rare-earth mining area. We also coordinated civil engineering, equipment supply, and installation subcontractors to ensure seamless collaboration, ultimately guaranteeing the project's smooth and efficient progress.
