The Water System Branch of China Survey and Design Association held a general meeting to complete the election of members
On March 13, 2023, the second general meeting and first council meeting of the Water System Branch of the China Survey and Design Association were held in Suzhou. Wang Ziniu, Vice Chairman of the China Survey and Design Association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. During the conference, a forum on high-quality development of urban water systems was held, and the "Second Kaiquan Cup Water System Football Friendship Tournament" was held.
The meeting reviewed and approved the work report, financial report, and revised draft of the "Work Regulations" of the first council of the Water System Branch; The second council of directors and executive directors were elected, and the leadership team of the second council was elected. Chen Yong was elected president, Cao Weixin, Gu Baochao, Han Bing, Huang Ou, Huang Xiaojia, Li Guohong, Li Junfei, Li Wenqiu, Li Yanchun, Mao Jianhua, Shi Chunhai, Xu Bin, Xu Yang, Yang Bingfeng, Zhang Fuguo, Zhang Jun, and Zhao Li were elected vice presidents, and Guan Xingwang was elected secretary-general.
Vice Chairman Wang Ziniu warmly congratulated the successful convening of the conference and the newly elected leadership team of the second Water System Branch Council in his speech. He pointed out that the first council of the Water System Branch has made remarkable achievements in research topics, industry reports, group standard preparation, evaluation guidance, technical training, public welfare live streaming, and other aspects. As a strong force of the association, it has played a good platform role and won recognition and support from the majority of member units. The cohesion and appeal of the branch have been significantly enhanced, playing a positive role in promoting the healthy development of the industry. He put forward requirements to the second council of the Water System Branch: firstly, to have a correct understanding of the current economic situation and the needs of enterprises, to focus on industry hotspots such as digital economy, green construction, rural revitalization, and smart city construction, and to find the starting point and foothold for carrying out industry work around the main line of high-quality development. The second is to improve positioning and broaden horizons, guided by market demand, and fully reflect one's own value. Encourage enterprises to provide diversified full life cycles, rely on digital technology to support enterprise transformation and upgrading, while innovating to enhance enterprise vitality, advocate the path of joint development, and create a consortium that combines industry, academia, research, and equipment, which has more room for value enhancement. The branch should extend its service functions to various fields including building water systems, urban construction and management, industrial and agricultural engineering water systems, and ecological environment construction. Cross disciplinary mutual learning and promotion should be explored to explore new service areas, carry out service, technology promotion, and development leading activities, and achieve greater achievements; The third is to build a platform to provide effective services for enterprises. Vigorously promote national industrial policies, exchange successful experiences, establish excellent models, attach importance to the promotion of evaluation results, and use evaluation to lead the creation of excellence.
Chen Yong, the elected president of the second council of the Water System Branch, delivered his inaugural speech, promising that the new term will uphold tradition, maintain a "drive for progress", firmly take over the "relay baton", run the "relay race" well, and be a good "inheritor". The second council will conscientiously carry out various tasks of the branch from the aspects of enhancing industry service capabilities and branch cohesion, strengthening industry technical support and branch influence, enhancing industry platform integration and branch extension.
The meeting was chaired by Wang Zujin, Deputy Secretary General of the China Survey and Design Association, and Wang Xuedong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Construction Technology Information Research Institute Co., Ltd., the branch's supporting unit, made a statement. Nearly 400 members from water system branches across the country attended the meeting.
