This is the feeling of the staff in the production preparation workshop of Fengfeng Group's Fengmei Coking Company after implementing the optimization of the coal transportation system in the second phase of the coal yard.

In 2023, Fengmei Coking Company vigorously carried out special actions for technological innovation, reducing personnel and improving efficiency, adhering to the overall requirement of keeping benefits within the company, and abolished all temporary employment positions. The equipment and facilities in the M114, 115, and 116 coal yards of the second phase of the production preparation workshop, including three belts, three stacker reclaimers, and three transfer machines, have been transferred from being operated by three temporary workers to being operated by one on duty employee of the company. Due to the large area and small number of personnel in the coal yard, the distance for belt start stop operations is far, and the belts cannot be stopped in a timely manner, resulting in a reduction in the effective operation time of the belts, a decrease in operating efficiency, an increase in electricity consumption, and wear and tear of the belts and equipment.

To solve this problem, workshop technicians installed a bidirectional feedback controller and related control equipment in the belt conveyor head and stacker reclaimer operation room based on actual on-site operations. They also installed a start stop belt button on the indoor console and introduced unlocking and interlocking operations into the operation room. Unlocking and interlocking can be controlled by rotating the button. In this way, the driver can operate the belt start stop and release interlock operations in the operating room, and the head positions of the three belts have become unmanned. After the transformation, the running time of the belts has been greatly reduced, and the annual electricity cost can be saved by more than 110000 yuan.

In addition, according to previous winter seasons, the production preparation workshop of the company sometimes experiences blockages in the discharge cylinder of the stacker reclaimer. Also, because the discharge cylinder is located on the back of the stacker reclaimer cab, when blockages occur, the driver cannot detect them in a timely manner, which can easily cause a large amount of coal to accumulate. Cleaning it up is time-consuming and labor-intensive, which is not conducive to safe and stable production. After research, blockage induction devices were installed on the discharge drums of three stacker reclaimers, and an electronic control reminder device was installed in the driver's operating room. When the discharge drums are blocked and coal cannot be discharged normally, the reminder device in the operating room will issue an alarm to remind the driver that if there is an abnormality, the belt operation can be stopped immediately to prevent a large amount of coal from being blocked, greatly improving operating efficiency and promoting safety production.
