The 7th General Meeting of the Municipal Branch of China Survey and Design Association and the 1st Council Meeting of the 7th Session were held in Shanghai
On April 26th, the 7th General Meeting of the Municipal Branch of the China Survey and Design Association and the 1st Council Meeting of the 7th session were held in Shanghai. Zhu Changxi, Chairman of the China Survey and Design Association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Guisheng, Vice Chairman of the China Survey and Design Association, Chairman of the Sixth Council of the Municipal Branch, and National Engineering Survey and Design Master, Zhou Jun, Vice Chairman of the China Survey and Design Association and Vice President of Shanghai Construction Engineering Group, attended the meeting. Xin Guoliang, Secretary General of the Shanghai Survey and Design Industry Association, and Zhang Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Institute, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
The conference listened to and reviewed the work report and financial report of the sixth council of the municipal branch, approved the draft amendment to the "Work Regulations" of the municipal branch, elected the seventh council of the branch, and completed the replacement of the council of the branch. At the subsequent first meeting of the seventh council of the Municipal Branch of the China Survey and Design Association, the executive directors and responsible persons of the seventh council were elected. Zhang Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Institute, was elected as the president of the seventh council of the branch. Liu Jiangtao, Zhao Jianwei, Wu Fansong, Li Weiguo, Shi Chunhai, Li Lei, Xiong Zhengyuan, Wang Jianqing, Zhou Gang, and Gao Quansheng were elected as vice presidents, and Cao Weixin was elected as Secretary General.
In his speech, Zhu Changxi affirmed the work of the sixth council of the Municipal Branch and congratulated the newly elected leader of the Municipal Branch. At the same time, he put forward requirements and expectations for the work of the new council of the branch: firstly, we must have firm confidence, seize the opportunity, and demonstrate new achievements in the high-quality development of the housing and construction industry. As the only representative association of the municipal design industry, the new council of the Municipal Branch should have firm confidence, fully play the "backbone" role of member units, conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the Housing and Urban Rural Construction Work Conference, implement the spirit of Minister Ni's instructions, deeply grasp the trend of economic and social development, focus on the central work of housing and urban rural construction, guide member units to face difficulties and challenges, and comprehensively improve the technical level and service ability of municipal engineering design. Secondly, we must strengthen our foundation, enhance our abilities, and strive to create a new situation in the work of the branch. As one of the three key branches of the association, the municipal branch holds a pivotal position and role in the association's branch offices. The branch should conscientiously fulfill its duties and give full play to the exemplary and leading role of the backbone branch institutions; The branch should work together, give full play to the advantages and abilities of the branch president and vice president units, take the strengthening of self construction as the foundation, take the lead in contributing to industry reform and development, strengthen the foundation, continuously improve the ability to serve members, the industry, society, and the government, and strive to create a new situation in branch work.
The newly elected branch president Zhang Liang delivered his inaugural speech and put forward the work plan for the new council. He stated that it is necessary to fully leverage the "gathering intelligence" advantage of industry associations, vigorously promote the research and application of common technologies in municipal engineering design, make efforts in the study of industry technology cooperation mechanisms and the transformation and application of innovative achievements, improve industry innovation capabilities, and accelerate the cultivation of first-class scientific and technological leaders and innovation teams.
The meeting was chaired by Wang Zujin, Deputy Secretary General of the China Survey and Design Association, and more than 160 representatives from branch member units across the country attended the meeting.
The conference also held the "High Quality Development of Municipal Engineering Design in the Context of Chinese path to modernization" Summit Forum. Huang Wei, Xu Zuxin and Zhu Hehua, academicians of the CAE Member, Professor Tang Boming, former president of Chongqing Jiaotong University, and Liu Guisheng and Zhang Chen, national engineering survey and design masters, made wonderful high-end academic reports around the theme of the forum.
